Kaban ni D_BystandeR: KASIKAS SA PAGDUMALA SA DAKBAYAN SA SUGBO

It is not proper to ask that question which in some cases could be classified as a "leading question." What is  important is to analyze the issue and dig deeper into  what's the root cause of all this fuzz? Awhile ago, we read in the papers about the City Council commenting about the City Hall's generosity of proposing P100M for the city police, judges, etc.

It is understood that the city is direly in need of money and this will again go back as to how it is able to properly and adequately handle its own fiscal management. Unless one considers that the city hall has its own magic wand that it can produce money however big and unreasonable for it to produce that way then, maybe, we can say that they have to slow down their antics and try to be reasonable to preserve a harmonious relationship with a business  partner they expect to help them. Otherwise, it will be like missing the opportunity to nurture a business climate to effectively handle "the goose that lays the golden eggs."

Note: This refers to a news item where the city hall was pictured as already issuing "ultimatum" to Filinvest to meet their financial demand otherwise they will settle it in court. Filinvest, on the other hand, contends it has been up to date in their remittances and it says their next payment will still fall due in March next year yet. And City Councilor Margot Osmena cautioned the city hall to better slow down in their handling of the Filinvest as its business partner otherwise they will be sending the wrong signal to prospective investors not to  take business with the city hall anymore.
