Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PAMOLITIKA ANG GIUNA???
When
it comes to "cash" given to city hall employees in whatever name,
whether as a "Christmas bonus or calamity assistance," most of them
(city councilors), except those who consider in silence with seething outrage
as to how the precious city funds are squandered in whatever manner, are
grinning from "ear to ear" because
they consider it as a "happy all" move. (Only two city councilors
abstained from casting their votes, namely, Margot Osmena and Lea Japson). But
what I consider as a selective kind of giving "Christmas bonanza" to
CH employees is Mayor Mike Rama's decision that it is limited only to permanent
and casual employees.
The
"Job Order" employees are left out salivating with an empty bag! How
sadistic it is for Mayor Mike not to include the "Job Order"
employees in the merrymaking. It would have been better if instead of P20,000
to each of them, a little would have been given to "J.O." people from
the huge amount of P20T to make it a little fair to them. But one thing is
certain for Mayor Mike - with the passage of this "calamity
assistance" - he is now almost convinced that he has already successfully
solidified his electoral chances come 2016 when he runs for the 3rd time
in his mayoral bid for Cebu City. But many things can still happen along the
way which could make or unmake his dreams come true.
