Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MIABOT NA ANG UTLANAN NI GWEN???

This is what we call, "end of the road" for the suspended Gov. Gwen. In a futile attempt to hold on to power she issued Executive Order No. 14, ordering all Capitol department heads to receive and honor only orders coming from her and to ignore Gov. Magpale, the newly installed Cebu Governor. The immediate reaction of the suspended governor only shows how unprepared she was for the unexpected "change" of her former high pedestal position to that of losing her power. She is telling the people, "As far as I am concerned, I am still the governor," she boastfully proclaimed in total defiance. She forgets that we are following the "rule of law" and that whatever personal motive to stubbornly influence her personal perception is only self-defeating. And on the other hand, the graciousness and magnanimity of the newly installed Gov. Magpale can be easily felt by her motherly assurance of a peaceful assumption to the highest provincial office of Cebu. When asked if she is going to file charges against the Ex-governor if something "fishy" is discovered, she replied, "In the spirit of Christmas we will not talk about it now." She assured that Capitol employees have no reason to worry about Christmas bonus as well as the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) who are to receive P2,400 each.  

And Gricelda "Gigi" Sanchez-Zaballero, the daughter of the late Vice Governor Greg Sanchez, expressed her humility in the face of her father's vindication out of Garcia's highhandedness when he was still alive. She said she would have been more happy if her father were still alive to actually feel the elation of being vindicated. She said they are going to Lapu-lapu to visit their father's grave in the afternoon. And at 3pm that afternoon, there was a thanksgiving mass held at the Capitol  in honor of the late Vice Governor Greg Sanchez, in attendance were Atty. Hilario  Davide, III, Congressman Tommy Osmena, and their supporters.
