Dante Jimenez, founding chairman and president of VACC (Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption) is here in Cebu to register his group's support for the embattled Gwen, the suspended governor of Cebu, whose suspension order was personally served by DILG Regional Director for Region 7 Ananias Villacorta last December 19. 

But when Gwen's two office aides refused to sign it in behalf   of Gwen because she was not there yet, it was posted on the door of her office. She was not there at 8am (she was reported to have arrived at 11am only probably delaying her arrival after being forewarned about the suspension order and in order not to sign it). But she  cannot claim not affected by that order because a lawful order like that, signed or unsigned by the person to whom it is addressed, has a peculiar way of being understood to be considered as binding under the law. And going back to this Dante Jimenez of VACC, I find myself at a loss as to what really is his motive in coming to Cebu? If he is to support the suspended Gov. Gwen, he should have changed the name of his group, VACC as Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption. Didn't he know that Madam Gwen is facing charges of corruption for the "Balili-gate" which was paid for P99M when 3/4 of the total lot area is submerged in water? Did he know that another case Madam Gwen is facing for the questionable construction of CICC which cost P1B to the provincial government? Dante Jimenez is showing his ignorance to the Cebuanos. He claimed the suspension order stemmed from political harassment, did he know it was based on a case filed by Vice Governor Greg Sanchez and that after a series of hearings, she was found guilty of "usurpation of the powers" of Vice Governor Sanchez when he was still alive? Now this man, Dante Jimenez, wants us to believe that we should consider the  case closed because the complainant is already dead? In the States, a case involving a 7-year-old girl abducted and killed in December 1957 and her body found after severalmonths dumped several miles away from the crime scene but still within the State of Illinois. And the suspected assailant was still 17 years old when the crime took place and escaped conviction due to some alibi but later on as some evidence were gathered and convincing testimonies came up the case was re-activated and the long arm of the law finally caught up with him because the law does not sleep, contrary to the belief of the supposed leader of VACC who belittle the case because according to him the complainant is already dead. If we follow the assumption of Dante Jimenez it would be more difficult to get justice for the death of that 7-year old girl because the culprit changed his name and, matter of fact, he became a police officer and was able to retire from his job and he is now 73 years old and just a few months ago he was deposited into a place where he rightfully belonged - to his prison cell while awaiting for final judgment. Imagine this case if this guy Jimenez is the one handling the case, and considering that it is already more than half a century from the time it happened, the soul of that innocent little girl cannot have found its justice and closure because the case of VG Sanchez even if it's still very fresh to our mind he wants it ignored and buried in oblivion because according to him, "the complainant is already dead!" 

Maybe he should change the name of their group to: "Volunteers Against Crime but not to Corruption."

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
