Kaban ni D_BystandeR: DILI LAMANG SI JANET NAPOLES ANG ANGAYANG TUNGOHON???

This "line of thought" floated by lawyer Lorna Kapunan is not the first time I heard it. It was first sounded by Randy David,  a respected columnist in the "Inquirer," who said that the public  ire which centered on the person of Janet Lim-Napoles is wrong and misplaced. What he suggested and strongly argued is that between Napoles and the lawmakers (senators and congressmen), he would opt to place the larger blame on the latter for they owe their high positions with unequivocal responsibilities to protect the public's welfare and interest at all times as a result of their being elected to office by the people. And for them to profess "innocence" of the big money-making scheme which amounted to billions of pesos out of their pork barrel funds only showed their "incompetence and arrogance" not worthy of respect and trust of the people who elected them.

And to think that JPE (Enrile) was "outsmarted" by Napoles not to have known the  bogus nature of the plan earlier is just like believing that a 10-year-old boy can outsmart a talented man known for his shrewdness and expertise in legal matters. And it's still fresh in our mind that JPE was considered the "principal architect" of martial law which the late Dictator Marcos has shamelessly foisted before us for a period of twenty long years thus, plunging us into the dark pages of our history which saw in its wake  thousands if not millions of lives of our hapless countrymen wasted and falling by the wayside. This fraudulent scheme could  not have been expected to be originally the handiwork of Napoles who does not have the "expertise and shrewdness of a fox" but was only known to be a wife of a "martial law" soldier (Jimmy Napoles) who was said to have driven a tank on his way to  Malacanang at the height of a "kudeta" against Cory's government.

He only got stalled on the way as the tank was hit by hostile fire from the government side that consequently killed the machine gunner but left Jimmy alive with burnt scars in his arms and face as a result. And he was said to have been imprisoned together  with Gringo Honasan, previously known as JPE's chief security officer, in that fiasco. So a deeper investigation into this case is in order as suggested by Kapunan which could, who knows, finally uncover some of the "missing link" and the intriguing question before us. But Napoles life should be provided with "maximum security" she deserves to prevent some "principal actors" behind this daring and sagacious scam (if, indeed, there are any), from getting lost and disappear from the scene in the ensuing chaos if anything untoward happens to befall her which could otherwise make the whole effort meaningless.

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCAÑO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
