Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MAS ESPESO ANG DUGO KAYSA TUBIG???

The saying, "Blood is thicker than water" is once again illustrated with seeming bluntness that I am afraid the example given to support the columnist's (Ricky Rama Poca) argument is "poles apart." While the issue in  question refers to the sale of "SRP lots" as being persistently claimed by Mayor Mike Rama in order to finance his city projects, his previous record of spending P100M to implement his "buying spree" of motor vehicles for mountain barangay officials to support his obsession to get reelected starkly betrayed his uncontrolled and extravagant spending habit for his personal aggrandizement. The sale of SRP lots involved billions of pesos and same could not be left and entrusted at the discretion of a man who recognizes no limit of his personal ambition.

If he cannot be trusted to take care on precious funds of the city during the last election with more reason that the City Council will inhibit him to touch SRP for it is within their legislative power and inherent right to protect the SRP from being placed under the control of a man whose financial management record is not beyond reproach. And besides, Rama was already aware before he became city mayor that SRP lots are intended to be sold only after the lapse of several years for price speculation purposes to maximize its market value for the benefit of the city and its taxpayers.
