The message is clear that Sunstar Editor-In-Chief Cheking Seares is once again taking the defensive side in favor of Mayor Mike Rama. While he expounds his thoughts about the need to focus our attention to the recent brouhaha involving the city's financial condition, he subtly emphasized that COA's knowledge is limited.

I don't know from whose idea he has taken this kind of logic except his own personal view and interpretation based on how he treated Rama's actions with a wide latitude of a "friendly and special  consideration." He is treating Mike the way he treats former Gov. Gwen. But no amount of confusion sown by Cheking can ever erase the fact that Rama is preventing the department heads under him who were earlier required to shed light on some important financial matters before the City Council. If he wants to make his administration abide with the popular clamor of transparency he has no reason to prevent them from testifying before the City Council. Rama should know that with what he is doing now he is undeniably following the footsteps of GMA where she became infamous of exercising her presidential prerogative not to allow her department heads to appear before any legislative inquiry for fear that they might "spill the beans" in the process of answering their questions.
