Kaban ni D_BystandeR: LIMPYO SI TOMMY O!!!

(Note: I made this comment after reading a CDN news item regarding the 25th anniversary of BO-PK (Bando Osmena-Pundok Kauswagan) where Tommy was the center of attraction being its founder 25 years ago. When asked what exactly was the founding date, he could not exactly recall but ventured to say it could be on August 29, 1987 on the occasion of the birthday party of his only son, Miguel, where he hatched the name of a political party - BO-PK - and launched his first mayoral candidacy with Alvin Garcia as his Vice Mayor against the incumbent City Mayor Boy Cuenco and won the election in 1988.  Asked if his son could be a "dark horse" for the 2016 election for a mayoral fight in the city he could not give a determined answer as he said he cannot control the electoral plans of his son and that his son is well verse on the ongoing situation as his son keeps on asking him questions on anything he wants to know).

One thing I like in Tommy is that he has held high and maintained in good standing the proud legacy of his forebears in matters of keeping a sound public administration based on integrity, honesty and unequivocal determination to stay focus on the righteous path of public service in achieving what is ultimately good for the city and its constituents.

While he can be considered now a cancer survivor his previous fight with maintaining his health did not show him any weakening point in his life where he had loosened his grip to stay the course for the continuing progress of Cebu City. To Tommy: The people will always remember you as an effective leader and a worthy inheritor of a renowned name - Osmena - made popular from the exemplary deeds and accomplishments of Don Sergio Osmena, the Grand Old Man of Cebu, his famous grandpa, and his father Serging Osmena, the acknowledged "Nino Bonito and Political Kingpin" of Cebu in his entire political career.
