This is a living testimony (a 47-year-old brother killing his own elder brother, 50, in barangay Cansunje, Argao, Cebu last Sunday morning, 09/08/13) to a prediction in the Holy Bible that when the world is about to end indications like this will be coming out: brother kills his own brother; son kills his own father and vice-versa; fathers molesting their own daughters and many other mind-boggling crimes in which looking back many years ago would seem unthinkable and impossible to happen. And the 3rd World War according to the Holy Bible to signal the end of the world will start in the Middle East.  But the projected US-led missile strike in Syria which US Pres. Barack Obama has strongly urged (now he is waiting for US Congress approval) is being watched with bated breath the world over. It came about as a result of a chemical weapon attack by Syrian Army which killed 1,429 people in Damascus and it was believed ordered by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

It crossed the limit of Pres. Obama's patience who had earlier promised he would decide what to do if Assad will use chemical weapon against his own people in an attempt to stop the civil war conflagration which has already claimed 100,000 lives in two years' time. But the prospect of a "limited war" by US forces seemed to have met a "hitch" which a news analyst called an "unexpected result" of a reporter asking a question to US Secretary of State John Kerry who is at present engaged in his European visit to US allies in the region to prod them to participate in a joint effort to "punish" Syria for that August 21 chemical attack.

Kerry was asked what possible factor could help stop the projected US-led missile attack in Syria and his rhetorical answer was that if Assad will surrender his chemical weapons under the supervision of the United Nations but he doubted it if Assad will agree. And  this was picked up by Russia who wanted to help its beleaguered ally and it brokered a peace deal that Assad when asked gave its nod. President Obama when apprised of it said it could be a breakthrough but he was skeptical. Senator John McCain, a senior Republican senator from Arizona who was considered a war hawk showed signs of accepting the idea but he wanted to stipulate stricter condition that would unleash US war power in case chemical weapons surrender by Syria is not strictly followed as provided in the agreement. The pros and cons of an emerging 3rd World War is breath-taking to imagine. If peoples' prayers around the world prevail and world leaders can find a "silver bullet" to defeat the prospect of a world war and if considerable peace is attained maybe the end of the world can be averted for the years to come.
