Imbis nagkalisod ang panginabuhi sa mga tawo, Market Administrator Raquel Arce boasted that her office - Office of the City Markets - can easily increase this year's P60M target income revenues of different public markets and stalls in Cebu City if only the City Council amends city Ordinance 1486 on Market Code, which will consequently increase leasing fees of all stalls in public markets. If not for BOPK leadership in the city council which is largely pro-people oriented, I cannot imagine the economic hardships that will consequently befall to the city residents because any increase in the imposition of new taxes will have a domino effect on the prices of commodities the consumers will buy therefrom.

At least there is still hope that in spite of the sadistic tendency of the Rama administration towards the city taxpayers to "take distorted happiness" in inflicting burdensome new additional taxes to the people, we still have the BOPK-led city council who holds the last straw for the defense mechanism against perceived "city hall tyranny" from the subalterns of Rama.
