Kaban ni D_BystandeR: GIBATO SI KONSEHAL ROBLE???

Danao City Councilor Jose Thaddeus Roble III said he would file charges against former Mayor Jesus "Don" Durano for allegedly throwing a rock at him last Wednesday. 

Roble, who is seeking reelection under the Barug Alang sa Kauswagan ug Demokrasya (Bakud) Party, had the stoning incident reported at the Danao City police station. He said he was driving his motorcycle about 4:30pm last Tuesday from a campaign sortie when he passed by the group  of Durano in barangay Masaba. Roble said he saw the former Mayor picked up a fist-sized stone and aimed at him. Roble said he first thought it was a scare tactic but the former mayor threw the rock. Fortunately the stone missed Roble's head. Roble said Durano even shouted at him when he turned his head back. "Unsa man? Milingi pa gyud ning buang!" Roble quoted Durano as saying. (What now?  This fool has the nerve to turn back). Don's eldest brother Danao  City Mayor Ramon "Boy" Durano Jr. in a separate interview said  the accusation was false. 

He told CDN  he was with his brother at  the time and no such incident occurred. Roble said he was shocked by the action. Durano is running for vice mayor under One Cebu. Roble is seeking reelection under Bakud-Liberal Party. Roble said  they don't have a personal grudge except that they belong to opposing political groups in the city. But Roble said he is bringing the issue to court. "I will file charges if only to show that people have human rights," he told CDN. Mayor Durano on the other hand, said they are willing to face the charges if any are filed.

COMMENT: I doubt if Danao City Councilor Roble will make good his threat to file charges in Court. In the olden days, living in a place like Danao City which was dubbed the "Durano Country" people would be thankful if only a stone was thrown to them and not a bullet from a gun. People were so scared that nobody will talk about filing a case in court. But now things have changed. But in Danao City nobody is seeking elective post for the highest position as city mayor and the top slot is only contested among the Durano brothers. Outsiders are  afraid to join the fray and change their birthday in the process to Nov. 2 -known as "All Souls' Day!"

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCANO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
