City Councilor Gerry Carillo can do so much to uplift the medical care provided to the city residents and to help formulate laws to protect the welfare of city folks once inside the jurisdiction of the hospital for  medical care and to be free from the hassles and malpractices of some hospital practitioners which would otherwise be considered inimical to the patients' interest and well-being.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with Banat News headline, "Carillo andam motabang sa  amahan sa gitaptapan." This refers to the case of  a 5-day-old infant whose picture, that appeared in the news, was seen plastered with "scotch tape" in his mouth  by a misguided nurse (to prevent him from crying because the nurse was probably irritated with the noise) and it created a brouhaha that attracted the interest and concern of well-meaning and prominent personalities and officials in the city government of Cebu.
