Kaban ni D_bystandeR: NAPAIG NGA PAGLAOM SA MGA BIKTIMA NI YOLANDA

This exposes to the whole world how shamelessly the government of P-Noy is foot-dragging in bringing fast and satisfying help to the typhoon Yolanda victims. Just imagine, a mother with her 6 kids who were lucky enough to survive the devastation of that monster typhoon but have to give up their lives in a blaze caused probably by a kerosene lamp or a candle used to provide overnight lighting inside their tent  because only street lights have electricity but nothing for tent city  dwellers. They are the victims of a fire whose only sin is to belong to those in the poverty line where access to electricity is prohibitive because for 7 months after the typhoon, much needed help from the national government is still out of sight. But wait a minute, how come they can afford to cut a deal with a contract where our government spent P5.4B for the purchase of two anti-submarine helicopters where observers are at a loss how to justify its usage? And taking this expensive purchase against the backdrop of our poor countrymen wallowing in extreme poverty especially those living in the tent city 7 months after the typhoon would inexplicably point out as a matter of poor personal judgment to the kind of priority of P-Noy and slowly his sloppy reaction is now costing the lives of a poor family in Tacloban tent city.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a Philstar headline, "After surviving Yolanda, mom, 6 kids killed in tent fire."
