This is a clear cut volume of information related to the employer and employee relationship in as far as  resignation is concerned. The rejection by Pres. Aquino of the resignation of Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla is deemed not legally defensible based on the  guidelines clearly outlined by the author, Atty. JBJ.

As an afterthought, it would have been better if the resignation offer of Petilla was not rejected by the President in view of the adverse reaction by some lawmakers about Petilla's official advice to Meralco that it better take  advantage of the period within which to file "Motion for Reconsideration" for the TRO that it received from the Supreme Court regarding its impending increase of its power rates which is widely condemned by the consuming public as excessive.
