Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MAAYONG BINUHATAN MAGBATOG ANG HUKOM SA KATAWHAN

It is not the result of barangay elections favoring the team mates of Mayor Mike Rama that counts in the final picture in the mayoral race of 2016, because it will be judged not  by the number of "Rah-Rah boys" willing to shout at the top of their lungs exulting alleluia to Mayor Mike but by how he performs to achieve the objectives to become a successful overall city administrator both by accomplishing the tangible and intangible areas of responsibilities. His much vaunted political mastery of drawing victorious electoral sorties for his surrogates is a given because he got all the necessary logistics to do it. But when it comes to how he fares in his treatment of the poor city folks his actions and accomplishments leave much to be desired. Whenever there is fire occurring  in the city, the first thing he does is to issue an announcement that the poor house owners are prohibited from going back to their place of abode and they are left on their own making them unwillingly join countless city residents who now become part of a large group we call informal settlers. That is why all over the country we see our poor brothers seek every nook  and corner of the place only to be hounded later on by  heartless demolition teams thereby compounding the sufferings of the poor.

And Mayor Mike does not give a damn what happens to their future and the families they support. In other words, he is a man whose outlook in life only welcomes those who are affluent and to hell with those who belong to the poor sectors of society.
