Kaban ni D_BystandeR: HILAW ANG KASUGUAN SA PAGSIKOP NI MAYOR JUNJUN BINAY

Senator Nancy was only expressing her concern for her brother, Mayor Junjun Binay of Makati City, which is only normal to any human being whose brod is threatened with the incoming arrest order on account of the contempt charge approved by "TG." But the arrest order was in the first place questionable because it was a clear deviation from the time honored practice that the Blue Ribbon Committee has religiously followed throughout its 60 years of existence. This was echoed by Joker Arroyo, former BRC chairman, who issued the wake up call to the BRC on account of its issuance of the arrest order against Mayor Binay and five others, where the arrest order was only hatched and approved by three senators, Guingona, Pimentel and Trillanes. The reminder from Joker of what ought to be done and  observed by BRC in compliance with the actual mandate of the committee and Senator Sotto's move to question the recommendation and approval of the contempt charge has  actually saved the BRC from shame for what it would have triggered had Joker and Sotto did not voice out their objection against it.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a news item in PDI, entitled, "Nancy Binay turns emotional over Senate detention order against brother." Senator Nancy almost came to tears when asked about what she feels about the detention order signed and  approved by "TG" against her brother, Mayor Binay of Makati. She expressed her concern and apprehension considering that the mayor is now a widower and his four children could be left with nobody to look after them if the detention pushed through. The "detention order" suffered a hitch when it could not be served because Senator Sotto, acting minority floor  leader of the Senate, questioned the propriety of the "order" where only 3 senators were involved to have it approved. Sotto urged that, at least, it should be deliberated by nine members of BRC committee of 20 or, at least, by half of it. The news report came out on January 27, 2015.
