Kaban ni D_BystandeR: MATABUNAN BA ANG KAMATUORAN???

It appears that Gwen's proposal to show gory video that recorded how some of the SAF members were brutally killed did not push through because most of the members of the House of Representatives preferred to salvage the fading peace process of the BBL considered by President Aquino as more important than saving the lives of 44 soldiers, when he chose not to issue the order needed to send reinforcement despite frantic calls for backup support from the AFP when the troopers found out they were on the brink of death.

Footnote: This comment came out in connection with a news item in Cebu Daily News, entitled, "Gwen's motion to show gory video triggers ruckus." Rep. Gwen Garcia of Cebu 3rd District, has made the said proposal and was seconded by Rep. Nograles of Davao, who reasoned out the showing of the video could give them enough reason to come up with a strong recommendation about the case. But they were overruled by the large number of lawmakers who sided with the P-Noy administration, like Rep. Sandra Sema of Maguindanao, who immediately opposed the motion, as well as Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice, who said the video has still to be authenticated. Negros Occ. 4th district Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer, chairman of the House Committee on Public Order and Security who presided the joint hearing ruled against Garcia's motion. This news came out on 021/12/15.
