Kaban ni D_BystandeR: ANG BINUHAT NGA BATOON UG KASINGKASING

The firing of more than 3,000 casual employees in Cebu City Hall is totally unprecedented in the annals of Cebu City government ever since the time of Don Sergio Osmena, regarded as "the Grand Old Man of Cebu."

The popular Serging Osmena, called the "Nino Bonito of Cebu," has never embraced this kind of senseless tyranny to innocent employees who have families depending on their employment for their subsistence. But this nightmarish happening to city hall employees undertaken by Mike Rama is not new. During the early days of his assumption to the top post as City Mayor in his first term he deliberately fired 500 casual employees and replaced them with men of his choice. And that was only his opening salvo to be followed later with the firing of more than 3,000 casuals as he is scheduled to assume his second term come July 1. I am constrained to ask myself is this man a living example of a "heartless politician?" How come he did not consider the resulting plight of the families involved? He should have been magnanimous in his earned "political victory" no matter how slim was his winning edge over his losing opponent Tommy O. But everything will come to pass like  the year of infamy when King Herod of the biblical times ordered the merciless beheading of infants up to 2 years old to prevent the coming of the "King of Kings" as told to him by the Three Kings on their way to offer gifts to Infant Jesus. And years from now people in Cebu City will remember him when he is gone from the political scene as "the man with a stony heart!"

Nahimo siyang mamumuo sa usa ka pribadong kompaniya sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, ESCAÑO LINES, sulod sa napulo ug duha (12) ka tuig  dayon niyang tapon  ngadto sa NAPOCOR  ug nahimong kawani sa kagamhanan  sulod sa bayente dos (22) ka tuig.
