Whenever Bong W. writes he always makes it a point that as a critical columnist he is understandably very "soft" on Rama. The BOPK councilors are mandated by law to exercise their role as fiscalizer to safeguard people's money and to "tone down" the excesses of the executive department. His propensity to sell SRP lots which Tommy O reserved at an opportune time in the future to speculate for higher prices for the good of the city of Cebu is facing a formidable threat with Rama salivating at the prospect of selling a big chunk of SRP lots during his term. The drainage reason he used to back up his plan to sell SRP lots is highly questionable. All over the world we can see a lot of flooding is happening everywhere.

There is now a campaign going on in the States to make it a state requirement to consider permeable concrete in every development project so as to help prevent flooding. If reliance is only dependent on making "huge deep tunnel" to contain flooding, it will not help in the long run.
