Kaban ni D_BystandeR: PAMOLITIKA ANG IPATIGBABAW???

The message that Atty. Frank Malilong would probably impart to his readers is that election winners, like Mike Rama, should have been magnanimous enough in the face of their victory at the polls like what JVR (Johnny V. delos Reyes) did in Talisay City when he proposed P1 million as some sort of pork barrel to all city councilors. But what Mike is doing now is unstoppable! To fire as  many casuals he can imagine from the city hall and replace them with men of his choice to forever entrench himself in power at the city hall. But what I don't like in his subtle remark in his message is to surrender the mandate entrusted to BOPK councilors to act as people's fiscalizer of city hall coffers.

What he meant by Gerry Carillo's reply about relaxing their scrutiny for the first two years and go back to politicking in the third year is to me a kind of smart strategy by Carillo to prevent a lengthy discussion because Gerry knows what Atty. Frank has in mind. It's up to the BOPK councilors if they want to take for granted their earned mandate from the people because no matter what most of the media people want them to do in behalf of Mike Rama (their considered benefactor) it is the BOPK group who will be held accountable by the sovereign people who elected them to office if they fail to discharge their duties as expected of them.
