Kaban ni D_BystandeR: UNSAY HAUM NGA HIPOSANAN, SA MGA SAKYANAN SA DAKBAYAN???

The idea to build a city garage to keep all government-issued vehicles from possible misused is good. It will also help lessen the temptation to use the vehicle at night for personal errands outside of the official business it is so intended. However, Mayor Mike advanced his idea of giving exemptions to department heads because he wants them to be placed on call even at night especially during emergency situations. He even voiced out his apparent dislike for having a big garage for city hall owned vehicles because it only "needs one bomb and they are all gone." If somebody, not the mayor is heard giving that "grim scenario" maybe we can forgive him to give our consideration for it bespeaks of a man's  unthinkable opinion that does not consider the security preparations inherent in a facility like a big garage where security guards are strategically posted round-the-clock. But for Mayor Mike to issue that kind of statement would not only make him look "funny" but maybe he is imagining himself to be in Afghanistan or in the Middle East where peace and order situation is  volatile.

The principal motive, I believe, for issuing that statement is to highlight his preference to allow  the department heads who are "closer to his heart" the continuous and unabated use of government-issued vehicles for their personal use and convenience at  the expense of the poor city taxpayers.
