Kaban ni D_BystandeR: ANG KAHAIT SA PLUMA NI JBJ, IKATANDI SA UBAN PANG INILANG MANUNULAT
As expected, this article
written by Atty. JBJ for The FREEMAN, to my honest belief and personal
assessment, has made him the number one opinion
maker in all existing news media outlets in
Cebu City. Perhaps, he can even be regarded as deserving an honorary
slot in the company of renowned national
opinion makers (columnists) like Randy David and Conrado De Quiroz, both of PDI. (CDQ's column
has been observed absent for quite sometime in several PDI issues.) It is not
easy for one to just simply write
something on any burning issues of the day that confront the nation because it
needs his high array of facts and related information to make his arguments
valid, logical and cohesive to form an opinion that is the hallmark of one's
vision more profoundly expressed by the "mastery of his pen." The author's choice to
supply the missing links why P-Noy's justification to prefer to go to Guiuan,
Samar, known as the place where the
first landfall of typhoon Yolanda took place, and not to go to Tacloban City,
which actually bore the brunt of the massive destruction of the typhoon, is full of loopholes and is
positively considered as not convincing at all. And no amount of confusing
statements to support the "half-baked" propositions can rightfully
withstand against the strong bulwark of truth that is immensely provided by the author.
