Kaban ni D_BystandeR: KONSEHAL MARY ANN DILI MAGAWNGAN???

I admire the fighting stance shown by City Councilor Mary Ann delos Santos. And a woman of her caliber will not easily submit to whatever kind of "influence" WTG has in its sleeve. From what has been shown in news reports, right after Mayor Mike Rama got the news that WTG  was disqualified by the BAC (Bidding and Award Committee), being the lowest bidder, because of some discrepancies and inconsistencies of the statement and documents submitted, the mayor cannot hide his displeasure and irritation to know about it because it was very visible that he "blew his top," as the saying goes. He was in effect showing tantrums and it cannot just come about without any reason at all as WTG is close to the mayor's heart because, if we listen to loud whispering outside, that contractor has financially helped him during the critical moments of his reelection campaign. People believed it is now "payback time" for the good mayor. With all the powers in the mayor's hand and considering that it is the mayor who has the ultimate say "to settle the existing controversy, the possibility is high that something good for WTG is already in the "front burner" at this time. But the question is: Will Councilor Delos Santos allow it to happen? My son who is now in his law practice for the last 20 years told me the lady councilor was his  classmate before in USC during my son's early years as a law student. And the lady, accordingly, excels in her class, as far as my son can recall. And that could be expected that in resolving this controversy, it would not be easy for those who are planning to "influence" the good lady councilor "to dance with the music" as she is made up from a hard stuff - with her legal training as a "combative student" in her class.
