I find it hard to comprehend the
troubling reality how man can be so unkind and so engrossed in doing such kind
of totally unjust and ridiculously devoid of all human dignity to show even a
little sign of respect to his fellow man who is subjected to all kinds of
baseless and unsubstantiated charges. And who happens to be the recipient of
all this kind of degrading accusations that insult the dignity of man is not an
ordinary man because he is the nationally elected Vice President of the
country, the second highest official of the land, Vice President Jejomar Binay. I cannot think of a
similar case where a Vice President of
any country, for that matter, has been subjected to all kinds of insults, using the lowest kind of
accusation calling him a "thief, a robber, or anything" that man can
ever imagine, with all his evil ingenuity that he can muster, because he is
safely protected with a mask of anonymity, that not even his real name and
address can be seen in case a person he
criminally abused wants to seek redress in the proper courts. I do not admire
people who keep chastising other people, calling them all names you find in the
garbage but you'll never know if this man lambasting Binay is a murderer, a
rapist, a robber or just a simple pickpocket with no human dignity to be proud
of. And yet of all the people, he chooses to disrespect the Vice President at will
because he fully knows he will never be caught or arrested to account for his
wrongdoing because he is hiding in total secrecy, his identity - unknown. He is
by all account, a plain coward, pure and simple!
Footnote: This
comment came out in reply to somebody who calls himself "JUST ME" in the comment
portion of Philstar, dated 11/20/14. The news item was entitled, "Binay
mulls filing criminal charges vs critics." He writes extensively against
VP Binay, in a manner so malicious that when I came across it, I have decided
to write my reply because with such kind of verbal abuse done to an innocent
and honorable man, who is the elected Vice President of our country, VP Jojo
Binay, I cannot, in all my conscience, afford to take it sitting down! Somebody
has to rise with outrage and vehement indignation to tell him to let him know
he has done an unpardonable infraction against an honorable man.
