Kaban ni D_BystandeR: BIKTIMA SA KATALAGMAN, GISAMOTAN???
If this article came out
earlier than the news, which came out one week earlier or so ago, announcing
what was done in Tacloban City to typhoon
Yolanda survivors in preparation for the coming Papal visit there, maybe
hundreds of those affected staying in hastily constructed bunkhouses could not
have been transferred or relocated elsewhere as a large number would surely be inconvenienced
as they will be transferred about 5 kilometers away from their present location
thus, giving them problems as they will be away from their place of work and
their school children dislocated from their present schools. Reading this
article written by Atty. JBJ, considered as his masterpiece, as he is naturally
exposed and familiar to the same kind of reactions done before by our government
officials, the present crop of local officials who could have read this could
realize it will be great folly for them to transfer the survivors to other
places as Pope Francis does not want them to do it like hiding the truth away
from him. This goes to show that history repeats itself.

written by Atty. Josephus B. Jimenez which appeared in The FREEMAN, issue of
November 03, 2014.
