Kaban ni D_BystandeR: WALA MATAGAD ANG MGA SULAT SA SULTAN???
The first letter from the Sultanate of Sulu in June 2010 sent to President Noynoy when he was still busy with the necessary intervening events prior to his assumption to office as the newly elected President as legally mandated with the people's overwhelming vote of trust and confidence could be understood as having been lost or received not by the regular persons under his new administration. But the subsequent letters in 2011 and 2012 which seemed to fall on "deaf ears" were probably received by somebody but only regarded it as less important to merit the attention of President Noynoy and could have just simply thrown it away to the trash can which is the biggest blunder if we are to look at hindsight the importance of that letter to reach the hand of the President. And this has now come into full discovery when the "standoff" in Sabah began three weeks ago and is now hugging the headlines and are now hard to ignore. And this reportedly drove the President to make himself clear to his office aides that henceforth any letter addressed to him should be given to him for him to appreciate its contents. There is a saying which says, "Better late than never." And whatever late reaction by the President on this particular case is still of enormous importance because whatever his judgment is, it will be dealing with the lives of people whom we still consider our brotherFilipinos and not only that, it will also put into focus how the P-Noy administration treats this very sensitive issue of our Sabah claim which has been put in the "back-burner" for several decades.
Who knows? This issue which was just relegated to the dustbin of history by the previous administrations of several Presidents could find a lasting solution under President Noynoy whose sincerity of purpose and purity of heart is noticeably bearing the imprint of his honest and sublime desire to establish his "matuwid na daan" as his lasting legacy to the Filipino people just like his father Ninoy whose human life as a true patriot and as a martyr for his noble dreams of the Filipino people has become immortalized in the hearts of millions of his countrymen.
