The millions of money
wasted on useless investments chosen by Jinggoy, JPE and the 3rd I think is
Bong R for their PDAF is unthinkable. It could have been used on far more
meaningful projects to benefit the poor. The case about this young UP student
is something she can no longer afford to solve by herself nor with the help of
her parents whose means of livelihood is far too stretched. Her case would have
been better classified under Class "E" and not "D" where
she could have been classified free from paying the tuition if only she were
under "E." That girl's situation is really difficult to imagine because,
being the eldest in the siblings of 5, she must have higher dreams in life if
only given the chance to overcome it. And she must have envisioned herself as
the onl y hope i n the family to redeem their dismal state of being poor
especially looking at how her younger siblings are trying hard everyday how to
survive with the meager income of her father who is simply a "taxi
driver." And what made her driven to end her life up to the last minute
was the reality itself that much to her desire to continue her studies she
reached the bottom line of it where she was made to stop going to school
because of her parents failure to pay her school fees.

She was classified D before
because her father used to earn enough for the family as a quality control
officer of a factory that closed up. UP should have done a reevaluation of
Kristel's tuition class bracket when this thing happened to her family.
