This reminds me of the Maguindanao massacre where 58 civilian lives were lost to men in uniform who were supposed to be protecting the civilians but instead became robots of the politically powerful Ampatuan clan.

 The only difference is that the victims here in Quezon which claimed the lives of 13 victims of what appeared to be a "summary execution in cold blood" include some police authorities because of Police Superentendent Consemino is a consultant of one of the victims Victorino Atienza of Laguna in his Security 

Agency. The people are thankful to the daring success the Inquirer got from its hard-working field reporters for being able to shed light into what was initially described as a shootout against a lawless group of "gun for hire and other criminal elements." Initial comments that filtered in revealed that Police Superintendent Consemino, who is one of those killed in the group, is a decent man whose lifestyle is not the type you would see connected to some "lucrative underworld business" oozing in wealth, just a simple living. And in another case, a police officer surnamed Mantuano of Calapan City, is described as a "home buddy" who took care of his three children aged 10, 6 and 3 whose common daily trips before joining the police is, "home-school-home." 

The grieving parents, as an aftermath of the grim incident, were said to be inconsolable," according to the younger sister of the victim named Ailyn Cueto. Surely, the souls of the victims and their grieving relatives are now crying for justice.
