Kaban ni D_BystandeR: SAKTO SI SAN PEDRO

The steadfast defiance and brazen arrogance shown by Madam Gwen in sticking to her seat in the Capitol even if her power to rule is already unplugged by the government by virtue of that lawful suspension order  reminds me of an anecdote given by the popular and unforgettable Talyux Bacalso about two people going to the processing area for all souls manned by an old bearded man named St. Peter. His book covers only two destinations: Heaven and Purgatory. If your name is not there, your  soul is destined to everlasting fire in Hell. These two people were victims of torture and summary execution, a crime common during martial law. They asked St. Peter if FM's name can be found in his book. After a long search, St. Peter told them if his name is not there his soul must be destined in Hell. The two looked around and they saw a man in the corner sitting on a chair and they recognized him to be FM, the dreaded Dictator. They  asked if they can talk to him because they want to inquire about the fate of some of their friends who perished in a massacre and St. Peter nodded. But the man on the chair would not budge even an inch from his chair when St. Peter  called him. 

"What happened to you?" asked St. Peter now his voice raised a little higher showing that the man's behavior was wearing out his patience. "I cannot stand up, Sir, because I'm afraid those two people will take over  my chair and I cannot take back my chair again." St. Peter exclaimed, "Because of your greed of power you lost your soul and all your chances to  go to heaven and that's good for you." I'm afraid this anecdote fits the case of Madam Gwen.
